193. Make 'em into a tire, and drive 'em to Pittsburgh!

193. "Rubberband Man" by The Spinners

Just like "25 or 6 to 4," this song is a favorite from my youth that was played by the pep band during games that I attended with Chris and his family. However, unlike "25 or 6 to 4," I actually know some of the lyrics to this pep-band song. But just the chorus.

Hey, y'all prepare yourself
For the Rubberband...man.
You never heard a sound
Like the Rubberband...man!
You're bound to lose control
When the Rubberband starts to jam!

Who (or what) is the Rubberband Man? Is he a superhero? A rubber band salesman? A between-the-toes heroin-shooting junkie? Lynda Carter knows!

I've never wanted to be Kermit in the guest star's dressing room as much as I do right now. You know, that was so awesome, I just can't help but want to watch me some more Lynda Carter singing this song. But this time, how about more dancing...with a little more magically appearing walking cane...and a lot more legs!

Thank you, dearest Internet, for those two videos! There's only one way I know how to celebrate something as awesome as that--imagine her dancing to the pep band version of the song while Scapell, Joe, Chris, and me blast out those brassy do-dos at full volume.

Do...Do-Do...Do-do.... Do! Do-do! Do-do-do-do-do! Do-do-do-do-do!
